There are art shows you attend, and then there are art shows you experience. Bryce Cobbs' "Still In Motion" exhibit firmly belongs in the latter category, a carefully curated collection that invites you to slow down, look closer, and feel something.

What made the evening particularly memorable wasn't just the work on the walls, but the artist himself. Cobbs took time to speak candidly about the stories and emotions embedded in each piece, offering a rare window into his creative process and personal journey.

Among the works that resonated most deeply was Matriarch, a 16x20 oil on Canson artboard that serves as a tribute to his aunt Vera, a woman he credits as a cornerstone of support and inspiration throughout the making of this exhibit. The intimacy of the piece is unmistakable; you can feel the reverence in every brushstroke.

Equally commanding was Wounded, a large-scale 36x48 oil on canvas that stopped viewers in their tracks. In Cobbs' own words, the piece represents his response to these trying times and his willingness to focus on the purity of life, even when surrounded by forces that threaten to pull us away from positive moments. It's a meditation on resilience, rendered in paint.

Taken as a whole, "Still In Motion" is the kind of exhibition that lingers with you long after you've left the gallery. For anyone with an appreciation for contemporary art that is both visually striking and emotionally grounded, Bryce Cobbs is an artist well worth your attention.
